A small blogpost about Koh Tao

Hello in this fantastic summer heat that we have here in Scandinavia!
It’s absolutely amazing what a summer we have had until now. 😀

Just before the heat stroke we packed our bags and went to our paradise again.
Two weeks with fix and trick in our villa, some diving, met new and old friends but we have also had time to enjoying a cold beer on our lovely terrace.
Photo will come in shortly but post a small movie from our terrace. It for you who haven’t yet understand what paradise we have our second home in and of course for you who already know it! 🙂

Happy summer and enjoy it while its here!
Big hugs,
//Linda & Tomas

Finally in our paradise again!!

Finally we are here again, our home on the other side of the world. It’s just wonderful to put your feet on the paradise island Koh Tao and our house Frangipani Villa!
Happy New Your to you all!!

4 weeks in paradise. These weeks have been much more calmer than usually, if we think of building, parking, garden and so on.
But on the other hand we have had lots of friends visiting. 🙂 We haven’t had so many days by ourself, but we like when people come visiting us and we can show our Koh Tao for every one whos coming to this paradise island. Next time it will be much more calm we think! 😀
At first we had my old colleagues Amanda and Emelie on visit and at the same time Tomas friends Henrik and Johan from back home in Sweden was here too.
Then our lovely friend and old colleague from Oslo, Marlene, (nowadays she live in Copenhagen) come stayed the last two weeks at our place.
We also had some more friends visiting, but they stayed on some resorts at Sairee Beach, Henrik and Carolin, Linn and Malin and a friend to Linda’s mum, Erik.
Yes, you hear, that it became lots of happy and fun days driving around the island to viewpoints, lovely beaches, favorite restaurants and bars. And one or another San Miguel Light and Chang. The New Year’s party is not to forget and as usual we celebrate both Thai and Scandinavian New Year!! 😀

And of course we did some diving too. We pushed Tomas friend Henrik to his first divecertification and did 2 fun dive with him!

No, now we have finished talking and reading. Our photos for speak for themself! And we long, as usual, already back….

One week awaited divingtrip!!

The Maldives!
Just the name sounds so exotic!! 😀
And it was absolute amazing to put your feet on some of this 1192 beautiful islands, spread on 26 atolls.
We crossed 6 of those atolls with our live-aboard cruise with start at Malé City. It was pretty amazing that we landed on an airport island, Hulhumale, in the middle of the sea and then we took a speedboat-ride for about 10 minutes to the capital island Malé City. We had one night in Male City. That was really nice to be there one day before and had a good nights sleep before we got on board the boat. That afternoon we walked around this small capital (only 1,8 square kilometer, but have almost 104 000 inhabitants). The entire city occupies the whole island and it was really fun to see it from the boat. The day after we arrived to Male City we went back to Hulhumale and was picked up on the airport and than transferred to the boat, MV Leo, that would be our home for the next 8 days. And what a boat!! Big diving-boat deck, Jacuzzi, nice big sundeck to relax on between our dives. Big lounge/dinner area and lots of fantastic food. We have already decided that it’s not the last time we go to the Maldives!! 😉
But now til the funny part, the diving! Oh my god, we had so many amazing dive on even more amazing dive sites but some dive sites on the outer reefs of South Ari Atoll wasn’t that great considering corals and fishlife. But it was still really good diving! We saw lots of colorful coral fish, beautiful coral reefs, wrecks, sharks and MANTAS!!!
Our most thrilling night dive was when we sat on a ring on the bottom of a lagoon around everyone’s torches an could enjoy this amazing creatures for 60 minutes. Mantas is absolutely one of the world’s wonder. They danced around us, on the side, above and almost under us! This was one of our absolute best night dive ever! FANTASTIC!!

Dive photos are coming soon, but here is some photos above surface around the Maldives and from Male City!
Watch and enjoy!

6 days left….

IMG_2018Yes, we only have 6 days left until we be on our way to the Maldives!!

This weekend we should start to pack some of our things. This will be sooooooo much fun!! We really longing for some diving!
Is unreal that we’ll see the Maldives before it might sink someday. So we have to take our chance now!
The highest point above the sea-level is only 2 meters. That’s absolute crazy! So go if you have the chance!

Ok, this is some small photos before our own is coming! 🙂

Take care and dive safe!
