Lovely, sunny weekend!
This weekend we were off work both of us (and it not happens very often.)
The sun was shining the whole days with a clear blue sky and we spend the days with morning walks, eating prawns at Lekter’n, drinking beers in Bar’daux with Reshirdan and eating fantastic indian food at Jewel of India with Marlene!

En solig och underbar helg!
Solen sken, inte ett moln på himlen och vi fick massa tid tillsammans eftersom vi har varit fria från jobben båda två!
Helgen har spenderats i solen, på promenad, på Lekter’n (som gäster), på Bar’daux med Reshirdan och på Jewel of India för fantastisk indisk mat med Marlene!

With new challenges and desire for summer! =)
And Happy New Year / Songkran in Thailand!
We enjoying life and we still working a lot, Tomas in the Chocolate factory Freia and I in the restaurants D/S Louise and Lekter’n.
Tomas, he has also started to play drums again when he has free days, which he thinks is incredibly fun!
And I’ve started to work in Lekter’n again this summer. This year I will be Daily Manager with personnel responsibility. It’s really fun to get a new challenge, otherwise it’s easy to fall into some sort of stupor. Haha. But I will in the same time work as a bartender and head waiter at D/S Louise. So far it’s pretty quiet at AkerBrygge, we have had one busy weekend in Mars, when we had lots of SUN and 20 degrees but April has been cold and wet, then now we all longing for summer, with more sun and and warm weather, hopefully. Aker Brygge’s a fantastic place to be in the summer!
This summer, we haven’t got any plans, except that we are traveling back to northern Sweden for one week to visit our families and friends. And then we have the Galapagos trip to look forward to in September, which we now saving lots of money to and we have to buy new divingsuits and small goodies for the trip as well. It’ll be awesome to go to one of the world’s best diving- and nature paradise!
During the Easter week, two friends of ours were on Koh Tao and they have been so nice to look after Frangipani Villa. They also had the time to take some new photos for us, of the terraces and mini-bar. It was so fun to see how beautiful it has become! Thank you sweeties Jennie and Sophie for that!!

When we were on Koh Tao in January, we also view and modify the design of our pool-area. And Koh Tao Villas team is amazing to listen to our ideas and wishes, and then transfer them to a realistic design. Check for yourself how lovely our pool and pool-area will be, we hope that we can start building it in a near future!

The rental is going great, our third-guests checked out on Saturday, we have not heard anything other than that they had it perfect! They probably had to experience a crazy fun Songkran on Koh Tao! =) Then we have the villa reserved almost the entire May, tjohoo!

Våren är här!
Med nya utmaningar och längtan efter sommaren! =)
Och Happy New Year/Songkran Thailand i efterskott!!
Vi har det kanon, Tomas han jobbar på i Choklad fabriken, han har även börjat spela trummor igen på sin fritid, vilket han tycker är otroligt kul!
Och jag arbetar vidare på restaurangerna. I år igen så jobbar jag på Lekter’n, men denna gång är jag Vaktansvarig med Personalansvar. Det är jätte roligt att få lite nya utmaningar annars är det lätt att hamna i någon sorts dvala. Haha. Men samtidigt som jag gör det så jobbar jag ju kvar som bartender och hovmästare på D/S Louise. Än så länge är det ganska lugnt på Aker Brygge, vi har haft någon hektisk helg när vi hade massor med SOL och 20 grader varmt men vi längtar ju alla till Sommaren, med mera sol och värme förhoppningsvis. Aker Brygge är ju ett fantastiskt ställe att befinna sig på under sommaren!
Sommaren har vi inget planerat mer än att vi reser hem till Norrland en vecka, Galapagos-resan skall betalas och sen skall det inköpas nya dyk-dräkter och smått och gott till den resan förstås. Kommer bli helt sjukt grymt att få åka till ett av världens absolut bästa dyk- och naturparadis!!
Sen har två vänner av oss varit på Koh Tao under påsk och de har varit snälla att titta till Frangipani Villa. De var så snälla att de har tagit nya bilder till oss på terrasserna och mini-baren. Det var så roligt att få se hur fin det blir! Tack söta Jennie och Sophie för det!!

När vi var på Koh Tao i Januari fick vi även se och ändra på designen av vårt pool-område. Och Koh Tao Villas-team är helt otroliga på att lyssna på våra idéer och önskemål, för att sen överföra dem till realistisk design. Checka in själv hur fantastisk vår pool kommer bli, vi hoppas att vi skall kunna börja med den inom en snar framtid!!

Uthyrningen rullar på, våra tredje gäster checkade ut igår, vi har inte hört något annat än att de har varit nöjda glada! De fick nog uppleva en sjukt rolig Songkran! =)
Sen har vi uthyrt nästan hela Maj, tjohoo!!

Wonderful Summer-week!

Hope you all doing well around the world!
Another week has past and we got some lovely people who has visiting us here in Oslo. Last weekend Tomas mom Gunilla and Anders was here and during the whole week my mom Gunnel and my grand mom Ingrid was staying with us. We had a couple of fantastic days with beautiful summer weather.
The whole week has been loaded with lots of sun, delicious food, small trips, heat, wine and love. Completely wonderful!
On Tuesday we where on an island called Langøya. On Wednesday we walked around Vigeland Sculpture Park and in the evening we sail out in the Oslo-fjord to do some sightseeing and eating lots of fresh prawns. On Thursday we rent a car and did a road-trip to Norwegians fifth largest lake Tyrifjord and its beautiful landscape. On Friday it was raining so we just did some shopping-hours. On Saturday it was sunny again and we spent the whole day on the island Gressholmen and on Sunday we just relaxed and watch the great movie ”Water for Elephants” and then we took a evening walk to to show Oslo Opera House to mom and grand mom.
And then this lovely week was til its end, they traveled back to Sweden on Monday.
It was so fun to have them here the whole week, we are missing them so much. The next year when they coming back we hope they going to stay for two weeks. 😉

But now this summer has come to its end, it has turned below 20 degrees and it rains a lot.
It’s sad, we thought that we should have a few more hot days with sun, but if you look on the weather forecast it will not happened.
But then we long even more to stay in our beautiful new renovated house on Koh Tao. It is only 4 month left now until we’ll see it again!! We got some new animated pictures from Aon yesterday! Look, isn’t going to be amazing?
Tomas has gone to his job and I’m off work to day, so now I’ll curl up on the sofa with a nice book and a cup of tea while the rain pouring down the window.

Underbar sommarvecka!

Hoppas alla är ok ute i världen?
Ännu en vecka har gått och vi har haft härligt besök av Tomas mamma Gunilla och Anders förra helgen och av min mamma Gunnel och min mormor Ingrid här i Oslo hela veckan plus att vi har haft ett fantastiskt skönt sommarväder!
Hela veckan har varit fullspäckad med sol, god mat, utflykter, värme, vin och kärlek. Helt underbart! Tisdag var vi ute på Langøya, onsdag gick vi runt i Vigelands parken och på kvällen seglade vi ut med räkbåten på Oslofjorden, torsdag hyrde vi bil och körde runt Tyrifjorden, fredag regnade det lite så det blev en shoppingrunda, lördag var det sol igen så då var vi ute på Gressholmen och söndag slappade vi med en liten kvällstur till Operahuset och måndag åkte de då hem igen!
Det har varit så himla roligt att ha dem här, längtar redan till nästa gång. Och då hoppas jag att de är här två veckor! Tusen tack för en underbar sommarvecka!

Men nu är nog sommaren över för denna gång, det har blivit under 20 grader och massa regn. Trist trodde vi skulle få några fler varma dagar, men det ser inte ut så på väderleken framöver. Fast det gör inte så mycket, då längtar vi ju ännu mer till i vinter när vi får bo i vårt fina nyrenoverade hus igen!! Vi har fått fler animerade bilder på hur det kommer se ut och det är verkligen helt fantastiskt, eller hur??
Tomas har gått på jobbet och jag är fri så jag ska slappa med en skön bok i soffan medan regnat strilar ner för fönstret.

Great love around Oslo…
…despite the tragedy of 22 July 2011.
Monday, July 25 became a memorial marking that no one will never forget. 200 000 people had gathered with roses in their hands to go a rose-procession from Rådhusplassen to Youngstorvet. They had not counted on so many people would gathered in one place so the whole rose-procession was canceled because there was no where to go, there were people everywhere. But instead they shown the speeches and the singing on big-screen televisions around Oslo. It was incredibly many people who wanted to show their love for the Norwegian people and honor those who lost their lives. The days after the entire village has been covered in roses, it is quite fantastic to see that people can unite and show their love instead of hate.
We have walked around the village these days and the flower-bed around Oslo Cathedral is an quite breathtaking sight. Se for yourself on our photos!
The days are trying to gradually get back to normal, you see that more and more people are coming to Aker Brygge for lunch, dinner, party and shopping. But for some it will never be normal again and our thoughts go to those…
